Although I do believe my children have been the best part of my life the economics do not pencil out for a woman to give up her career. My husband died when my kids were in high school and my stay-at-home life was not good in regard to making money to support them after he died. It was a huge struggle to find work that paid well after devoting my life to the #trad role that I thought I was so "lucky" to have had.
